Senior Discount Days



Seniors, 55 and over, will be offered discounts throughout The Village on Wednesdays

Battle Ground Village will be introducing a Senior Discount Days. The majority of The Village shops and restaurants will be offering reductions in goods and services. Each store will post their senior discount; it may range from a percentage off, to a buy one, get one free.

"The other shop owners and I hope that Senior Discount Days will foster a strong bond between local seniors and The Village," expressed Paulette Smith, owner of Avalon Art Gallery. "We would love to see The Village become a place where old friends can reconnect, have a coffee, do some shopping and maybe get a massage."

Battle Ground Village will be reaching out and notifying local retirement communities of the new discount day as well.

"We hope senior and retirement communities make The Village a destination," said Carmen Villarma, developer of Battle Ground Village. "Not only does The Village have the new Battle Ground Library, but it also offers an art gallery, specialty food market, home decor and gift stores, and restaurants. If you are looking for a unique gift or an exceptional meal, then The Village is the place to go."

All of the store owners believe Senior Discount Day is just one way they can say "thank you" to the area seniors for helping build such a wonderful community over the years. "Vancouver and the surrounding areas have grown beautifully and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to our mature residents," said Tracy Burgess from LE Burgess Remodeling and Renovations.

The following is a list of participating stores: Bone's steak & chop house, NW Anti-Aging & Wellness Center, My Favorite Things, Laurelwood Public House & Brewery, Lulu's Boutique, Skillz Salon, The Coachmen, Twilight Video, Pasta Gigi's, Distinctively Home, and LE Burgess Remodeling and Renovations.

If you look younger than your years, then a senior ID may be required as proof of age. "If only I had that problem," laughed Dennis Pavlina, owner of Bone's steak & chop house.
